Intuidex – Vice President, Watchman for Space (W4S) Program
The Vice President will be the champion for bringing this unique AI/ML stack to flight, ensuring it runs reliably on the constrained picosatellite platform while meeting the stringent power, thermal, and radiation budgets of space hardware.
Title: Vice President – Manufacturing & Operations
Reporting line: Directly to the CEO; dotted‑line to the CTO, CFO, and Business‑Development Lead.
Location: Hybrid – 50 % on‑site split between the satellite manufacturing hub and Bethlehem, PA (existing headquarters). Remote work for the remaining time.
Clearance: TS/SCI – Intuidex will sponsor the investigation and adjudication, but the clearance must be obtained within 60 days of hire. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Compensation: Small base salary plus a substantial equity package (stock options/RSUs). Exact figures will be discussed with candidates; the emphasis is on long‑term upside tied to the success of W4S.
Start‑date flexibility: Able to accommodate a short‑notice start (goal is to fill the role within 60 days).
What you’ll own / deliver
Strategic & program leadership: Define the W4S roadmap, integrated master schedule (IMS), and success criteria for the manufacturing line and the overall constellation.
HO‑LRL™ AI/ML integration: Port Intuidex’s low‑resource learning research into flight‑ready hardware/software. Work closely with the CTO and the Bethlehem AI team to ensure seamless hand‑off.
Manufacturing & launch readiness: Scale the picosatellite production facility (initial crew > 10, scaling to several hundred). Oversee design‑for‑manufacturability, quality‑assurance processes, and interface with launch‑service providers.
Risk, schedule & cost stewardship: Maintain schedule variance < 10 %; own a budget that will grow to several hundred million dollars as the program scales. Drive mitigation plans for technical, regulatory, and supply‑chain risks.
Venture‑capital & government funding: Lead the next multi‑hundred‑million‑dollar VC raise; secure additional SBIR/STTR extensions and large commercial contracts to generate >$100 M of initial revenue.
Stakeholder & partner management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, launch partners, and the Intuidex board. Coordinate with the Bethlehem site on system architecture, data‑service contracts, and joint technical reviews.
Decision‑making authority: Broad authority over manufacturing site engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and launch‑operations decisions. Authority to approve expenditures, staffing, and subcontractor selections up to the CFO‑defined threshold (expect extensive authority over manufacturing site).
Team building & culture: Recruit, mentor, and grow the manufacturing site team from a core group (> 10) to a several‑hundred‑person organization. Instill a culture of rigorous verification, rapid prototyping, and the high ethical standards embodied by the Biblical figure Daniel (integrity, humility, steadfastness).
Reporting & communication: Produce executive‑level status decks, technical briefs, and investor updates (quarterly). Represent Intuidex at industry conferences (e.g., Space Symposium, SmallSat, etc.).
Schedule variance: < 10 % vs. baseline IMS.
Capital raise: $100 M+ in venture‑capital (multiple rounds).
Revenue generation: Secure government/commercial contracts delivering >$100 M of initial SDaaS revenue.
Constellation launch: Successful launch and on‑orbit operation of a picosatellite demo constellation with HO‑LRL™ AI payloads.
Manufacturing ramp‑up: Establish production line, certify first batch, and achieve > 90 % yield on flight hardware.
Personal character: Demonstrated integrity, humility, and moral courage comparable to Daniel (evidence through references, past conduct, and interview assessment).
≥ 20 years managing SBIR/STTR‑funded space programs (including full lifecycle picosatellite or CubeSat projects).
Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven record of raising multi‑hundred‑million‑dollar venture capital for space‑technology ventures.
Direct experience commercializing low‑resource AI/ML (HO‑LRL™, TinyML, quantized nets, on‑device RL) on radiation‑hardened microcontrollers.
Deep knowledge of NASA/ESA hardware standards.
Prior leadership of large‑scale manufacturing facilities (≥ 100 staff).
Strong systems‑engineering mindset – comfortable reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and software architecture.
Experience with Space‑Data‑as‑a‑Service (SDaaS) business models.
Excellent leadership & communication – able to brief CEOs, investors, and government program managers.
Familiarity with Agile‑Scrum / SAFe in hardware‑software integrated environments.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI (Intuidex will sponsor; clearance must be achieved within 60 days).
Active TS/SCI clearance (or willingness to obtain immediately).
Demonstrated ethical conduct and reputation for integrity (references required).
HO‑LRL™ is Intuidex’s differentiator—a breakthrough AI/ML engine that makes sophisticated on‑board learning possible on a picosatellite.
The VP will translate world‑class research into a flight‑qualified product, build a manufacturing ecosystem, and unlock a $100 M+ revenue pipeline for the company’s SDaaS vision.
You will work directly with the core AI/ML team while leading the manufacturing site to become the production heart of Intuidex’s space business.
Resume (PDF) – highlight two SBIR‑driven satellite programs you led to flight, a venture‑capital raise of $100 M+ (or comparable), and any hands‑on work with low‑resource AI/ML on space hardware.
Cover letter (≤ 300 words) – describe your experience delivering large‑scale space programs, your approach to integrating cutting‑edge AI/ML (especially low‑resource learning stacks), and why you embody the integrity and steadfastness of Daniel.
